Editing Services
Hello, writer!
It’s an honor to serve you, and I look forward to our editor-author relationship. Let’s chat!
I’ve been writing and critiquing novels for more than two decades. Fantasy and romance are my favorite genres, and I have the most experience in this area. I love middle grade and young adult. Whether it’s fantasy or romance, I specialize in clean, diet spice, or closed door (depending on what you like to call it). I also have experience with Christian writers.
Depending on the service you choose, I will either provide a high-level critique or comprehensive feedback on the manuscript (which may include, but is not limited to, plot, characterization, setting, and dialogue).
Please only send me work from completed manuscripts.
If you don't know where your story is going, my feedback won't be as helpful. I want you to receive the full benefit of engaging with an editor.
Don’t send me a first draft.
The more you've polished it, the more beta readers you’ve had look at it, the better I’ll be able to see where you're going, and help you shape it into the story you’ve imagined.
I’ll send you my critique/analysis as a separate electronic document. I won’t track changes in your manuscript.
My services don’t include any proofreading or line editing.
You should know, I’m blunt in my critiques. You’ll need a thick skin (which you’ll need for all aspects of this industry). My job is to help you make your story better, and I take my job very seriously. Yes, I know how it feels to read an honest critique—I’ve been on the receiving end many times. It can be difficult to face the flaws in your work. But there’s nothing like the feeling of taking that feedback, revising, knowing your story is stronger for it…and you made it that way.
How can I best serve you? Drop me a line!

A special thank you to Heather Pine whose in-depth critique of both my Trinity Lakes stories has been invaluable. Thank you also for picking up when my Australianisms crept in. If anyone needs an in-depth critique of their manuscript, or someone to help them with US culture and expression, I encourage you to contact Heather.
- Jenny Glazebrook, author of Where Our Hearts Lie and In Truth and Love
Heather offered an extensive and helpful critique of my novel, including notes about both main and side characters, overall plot, and setting. Several of her notes were integral to changes I think made my story stronger and resonate more with readers.
