Confessions of a mosquito magnet (AKA bye bye bites)

Picture it:
The south. Late summer. A group of friends gather to grill and play cards.
Two friends stand outside and tend the grill. The mosquitoes gather.
After a while, they notice the mosquitoes have left. They think it's the smoke from the grill.
It isn't.
At the storm door stands the mosquito magnet. The screen is thick and black with mosquitoes.
The mosquitoes no longer care about the friends at the grill. It's all about the girl inside.
TRUE STORY.
Those mosquitoes preferred to lay in wait for me rather than bite the people already outside.
This has been my life. It made me hate going outside. So I avoided it. Which isn't healthy!
Once my mother-in-law bug bombed her porch so I could sit outside with everyone else. I got six bites within 5 minutes. I went inside. Everyone else stayed outside. No one else got bit.
I've tried everything. Even a lot of synthetics. But I don't like spraying all those chemicals on my skin. And they only sort of work--even the deep woods ones.
